"He's still doing quite well. His left side neglect IS getting better. He's starting to stand spontaneously, not only to the center, but over to the left as well [note: she said "stand", but I wonder if she actually meant "look" or "turn his head"]. For example, our Occupational Therapist put lotion on his right hand, and he immediately turned, looked at his left hand, and put lotion on it, after we said "put lotion on your left hand". He's doing very well. He's tolerating getting out of bed. We ARE working on some wheelchair positioning and making sure that we're increasing his endurance by getting him out of bed. He wasn't sleeping, so they did give him some Trazodone last night and will give it to him at night so that he can sleep through the night. He's doing well. He was seen by our tone clinic, Dr. Kobell (sp?), who works on toning the muscles. He will be following him throughout his stay here. Other than that, he's doing good. He's able to tolerate usually about 2 1/2 hours out of bed in the morning, and then another 2 1/2 out of bed in the afternoon, so he IS doing quite well. We will have another team meeting next week on him, and I will be updating your brother when he gets back. Other than that, things are going well."
